Backend Development 101: Hands-On Workshop Recap

Backend engineering can feel intimidating, but Akmal Kurbanov broke it down into clear, practical fundamentals. Participants learned the differences between frontend and backend, what APIs and REST APIs are, and how authentication, authorization, HTTP methods, and status codes all fit together in real systems.

To bring these concepts to life, he spent over 10 hours before the workshop designing, building, and deploying a custom interactive To-Do List app. Attendees tested its backend themselves—through the UI or the Swagger API Akmal Kurbanov configured, making this a true hands-on experience.

Huge thanks to Akmal Kurbanov for staying during food time to support enthusiastic students with extra questions and guidance.
