Celebrating Our Graduating Leaders: Amber Nguyen, Akmal Kurbanov & Boburjon Usmonov

This semester, IEEE-CS proudly celebrates three of our graduating leaders:

Amber Nguyen, our Graphics Design Chair, and two of our valued Tech Leads, Akmal Kurbanov & Boburjon Usmonov

😺Amber created Nybbles, the iconic IEEE-CS cat, and designed the exclusive IEEE-CS stickers, which quickly became a favorite among members. This semester, she hosted a drawing workshop where members learned to sketch Nybbles and shared new sticker ideas. Her creativity shaped the visual identity of IEEE-CS, bringing a sense of personality and warmth to the chapter and making it a fun, welcoming space for everyone to connect.

🌐Akmal combined technical skills with coaching to help peers grow while strengthening the chapter’s projects and initiatives. He applied his technical skills to show members how to tackle coding challenges and system architecture. This semester, he hosted a “Backend 101” workshop, where he created a website to teach and empower members to explore backend development, opening doors to skills that will serve them in internships, interviews, and beyond.

🖥️Boburjon brought hands-on hardware expertise to the chapter and encouraged members to explore the world of PC components. This semester, he hosted “How to Build a Computer in Real Time!”, a live assembly and disassembly of his own PC that gave students a rare chance to learn about hardware up close. He even put his own computer on the line, turning the workshop into a mix of hardware learning and ‘will it break?’ suspense that kept everyone engaged.
