Embarc Collective Welcomes IEEE‑CS Members for an Inside Look at Tampa’s Startup Hub

On April 17, students toured Embarc Collective, the startup hub ranked #1 in North America by UBI Global, and saw up close where founders, teams, and mentors drive innovation across Tampa’s growing tech scene.

🎤 The visit began with an introduction to Embarc’s mission and its partnership with USF. Students learned how this connection is creating new pathways for internships, project work, and full‑time roles in the startup community. The group also heard from a founder who shared what day‑to‑day life looks like as an entrepreneur and what it takes to build something from the ground up.

💼 Throughout the tour, students explored the building, discovered programs that support early‑stage companies, and gained insight into the resources that help founders grow.
