IEEE-CS USF mascot Nybbles drawing workshop Recap

In case you missed it, our former Graphic Design Chair, Amber Nguyen, recently walked us through the creative process behind our signature mascot, Nybbles. It was special as it marked both our final workshop of the Fall semester and Amber’s last session with us before her graduation this past December.

But despite the bittersweet vibes, we did not let that slow us down! The energy throughout the workshop was incredible. More than just a design showcase, it was a chance to strengthen the bond with our community through the presence of our favorite cat.

Nybbles took on many forms during the workshop: it went from a cat stressed out by the CS internship hunt to eventually a global mascot wearing the national costumes of our E-Board members’ home countries to represent our international roots. And for the anime fans who noticed our soundtrack choices, yes, we even created “Catsune Miku Nybbles." We received so many great sticker ideas from the audience that night, and spoiler alert: they will be available at our upcoming workshops this Spring!
