The Careers in Technology (CIT) panel at TechX Florida 2025 brought together a lineup of leaders who’ve built impactful careers across cloud, software engineering, digital strategy, developer advocacy, and enterprise IT. Their goal is to provide students and early-career professionals with a clear and honest look at what it takes to succeed in today’s tech world.

CIT is an event series built to help students, early‑career professionals, and transitioning service members explore tech pathways, gain practical advice, and connect with industry leaders. Organized by the IEEE Northwest Florida Section’s Computer and Communications Join Society (also known as C2JS) and the University of West Florida, it now includes support from 40+ IEEE chapters across the U.S. and Canada. CIT is primarily organized by Michael Viron, the moderator for this panel during TechX Florida 2025.
