We welcome all students at our events!
No problem at all! We welcome students of all majors. Many fields today work closely with computing "on the edge," whether it's healthcare, business, art, science, education, or social sciences. Our goal is to help you understand how computing supports real-world, hands-on work across different industries—no technical background required.
No! Although we encourage buying membership as that increases our potential budget, as a student organization at USF, we welcome everyone to our events!
Yes, you can see all upcoming events at the "Events" tab or on our Bullsconnect.
Yes! While we don't focus on traditional "Intro to Python" workshops, all of our workshops are taught step by step and start from the fundamentals. We don't assume prior knowledge, and concepts are explained as we go so anyone can follow along - even if you're completely new. Moreover, all of our professional development events are applicable to students of a wide range of background and major.
We usually have 1 hour event every week, excluding first week, test free week and finals weeks. We also often table at Bullsmarket!
We offer a wide variety of industry-focused skills workshops that aren't typically taught in classes. You'll also have opportunities to hear directly from guest speakers working in industry, build your professional network, and gain practical insights into real-world careers. Plus, we give out CAT stickers, food, and other fun swag at events!
We usually have a speaker who is either a guest from industry or a tech lead from our executive board. They share their insights on the topic and answer questions. Then, we offer free food and swag. Lastly, participants and executive board members, including the speaker, network and answer any questions from participants. Our events only last around 1 hour.
